In Washington, DC for our "Customer Congress" and am super-happy that the conference hotel is a 10 minute / 10 buck Uber ride across the Potomac to the fantastic Long Bridge Aquatic Center, a pool I first swam at back in February of this year and one that I've been meaning to get back to.
I ran through a quick ~65 minute, 4,250 yard workout that was a variation on something I did back in 2015 in SCM. In the interest of time, I sped up the intervals on the 100s free going 1:15 on round 1, 1:20 on round 2, 1:25 on round 3 and 1:30 on round 4.
I was feeling rather sluggish and my stroke was definitely not smooth, my body not connecting well, but I got marginally better over the rounds on the 100s:
Round 1 - 1:07, 1:09, 1:07+, 1:08+
Round 2 - 1:08, 1:06, 1:06, 1:06
Round 3 - 1:07, 1:05+, 1:05+, 1:05
Round 4 - 1:04, 1:04, 1:05, 1:04
It's such a gorgeous facility that I'll attempt to make it back here later this week to do my 1,500 for time as part of my 3K for time training plan.
